Story of the style
Helsinki 52 was a momentous bearing mark in both the history of Paul Elvstrøm and the history of sailing. This was the debut for the Finn – a new class of dinghies that Paul Elvstrøm would soon make legendary. Paul Elvstrøm‘s tough preparations proved effective, as Elvstrøm had further refined his hanging technique and firmly took the GOLD by winning four of seven races at the Helsinki event.
