A must for the true sailor and an icon on the marinas

The London 48 is a classic harbor jacket - made to be a great match for an active lifestyle. It features materials in ripstop quality which have been TPU bonded. This ensures the jacket is water resistant up to 3000 mm, whilst being breathable and also wind-resistant, too.

The stretch fabric ensures flexibility and good comfort. The style is equipped with elastic rib cuffs, two hand pockets on the front, and two pockets inside the jacket. The Elvstrøm Victory badges and logo prints are positioned on the chest and inside of the jacket.

The contrast color lining is made from polyester mesh.

The story of London 48

London 48 was the genesis of an outstanding career for Paul Elvstrøm. Development was already a theme for the then 20-year-old sailor, who developed his own techniques to be competitive in Firefly despite having the disadvantage of being some 15-20 kilos lighter than the competition.

He used his homemade traveler to get an extended hike off the vessel‘s side, which made the difference in his breakthrough GOLD.
