Terms and conditions of sale and delivery

When you place an order as a customer on Elvstrøm Sailwear A/S webshop, you also confirm that you accept and agree to the following trading terms.

1. Postage and delivery

Delivery
Deliveries are by GLS or UPS.

We will ship your order within 1 working day after receipt of your order, as long as the item is in stock.

General shipping time:
Denmark: 1-3 days
Norway: 3-5 days
United Kingdom: 3-5 days
Inside EU: 2-4 days

Delivery charges

Our postage rate is listed at the checkout, each shipping contains up to 0-20 kg per order. Postage costs depend on which region the goods are sent. Currently we are not shipping outside the EU, except Norway and United Kingdom – If you want to place an order outside the EU please contact us direct at info@elvstromsails.com prior to shipment.

2. Returns and cancellations

Cancellation

** 60 Days Extended returns on ordrers placed between 14.11 to 24.12 **

You will be liable for any decrease in value of the goods as a result of more use than you would normally exercise to try/test a product in a physical store. The item must be returned in the original packaging and with tags.

Return postage upon cancellation

Please note that you will be responsible for covering the shipping costs associated with the return. The cost of the return will be conducted from the refundable amount.
PIease state the invoice or order number on the return reason label.

- It is not possible to have a refund of a voucher value.
- It is not possible to return an item purchased on the webshop at Elvstrøm Sails or at any Elvstrøm Sails dealers.
- Items purchased at a dealer can only be retuned at the dealer, according to their policy.

Please remember to get a receipt from the post office as proof that you have posted the package within the return deadline – Please be aware that you are responsible for the package arrivel until it reach the warehouse.

When you cancel a purchase you can also refuse to accept the package or to pick it up from the post office. Then it is automatically returned to us and the refundable amount (deducted the return-shipping cost) is refunded to you.

Damaged goods and returns

If your package is visibly damaged when it is delivered, it is important that you refuse to accept it. Then it is automatically returned to us. However, if the product proves to be defective after you have received the package, you should immediately contact Elvstrøm SailWear A/S on info@elvstromsails.com

3. Payment, security and data policy

Prices

The prices displayed on the website are inclusive of VAT within the EU.

The VAT within the EU follows the location of the customer, according to the EU regulations.

For countries outside the EU, prices are exclusive of VAT (except Norway and United Kingdom)

For items in your order intended for delivery to countries outside the European Union, they may be subjected to taxes, customs duties, and fees imposed by the destination country.


The recipient of the shipment becomes the importer of record in the destination country and is accountable for all Import Fees. Our distribution partner will send a separate invoice to you.

Our prices and fees are subject to potential changes caused by factors beyond our control, such as significant fluctuations in raw material costs, currency exchange rates, or modifications to VAT regulations. Hence, we maintain the right to modify our prices and charges accordingly.

We take precautions against any printing or typographical errors and acknowledge the possibility of product changes on the Website. Additionally, we reserve the right to rectify any discrepancies in stock availability, offer clearance sales, and acknowledge that the product images may not precisely match the actual product.

Which payment methods do we accept?

You can pay with international payment cards such as VISA/Dankort, MasterCard, Diners, American Express and Apple Pay, Google Pay, Amazon and Shop Pay.

When paying with a card, you must enter your card security number (CVC). This is usually a three-digit code found on the back of the card.

Once you have placed your order you will receive an order confirmation at your registered mail.

Currency accepted is: DKK, SEK, NOK, GBP & EUR.

Payment is made via an encrypted and secure connection.

Personal Data Policy

At Elvstrøm SailWear A/S we take your security and your privacy seriously. Therefore, we do not share any information about you or your purchases with third parties.

When you make purchases, or engage with us in any other form of contact, we will handle your personal data. We may utilize this information to keep you informed about special news, offers, and other relevant updates. You have the right to contact us at any time to modify or delete your personal data. Elvstrøm Sailwear A/S acts as the data controller responsible for processing your personal data. Please contact us for further information.

4. Liability

We accept no liability for any errors, omissions, out of stock products and amendments to the website.

5. Complaints

When purchasing goods, you are entitled to a 2-year claim period if the product is found to be defective. A defect could be, for instance, a manufacturing or material fault, or incorrect information about the product. However, regular wear and tear, or damages that you have inflicted on the product, do not constitute a defect.

If you discover a defect, you must report it to us within a reasonable time. We recommend that you make your complaint as soon as possible, especially in the case of damage during transportation. However, if you complain within 2 months of discovering the defect, it is always considered within a reasonable time. If your complaint is justified, we will refund your reasonable and necessary shipping costs.

If you wish to complain to us about a defect, please provide as much detail as possible about the problem. While it's not a requirement, it helps us identify the issue easier and minimizes the processing time for your complaint.

Please ensure the product is securely packaged before sending it.
- You are responsible for the parcel until the delivery reaches us.

6. Cookies

Please be aware that you accept our personal data policy and use of cookies when you visit our site. We do not collect data which isn't described in our personal data policy and we do not select data without your acceptance. For example with signing up, buying our products or participate in a survey.
