A Danish brand with heritage
Porto Alegre 59 took the Snipe world championship to Brazil. The Snipe was the leading doublehanded dinghy class at the time, and as a biennial event, it was a critical goal for the Dane. Elvstrøm and his Danish teammate won GOLD after a challenging event where they broke the mast and later got disqualified. Eventually, they turned it all around and took the title by a small margin after two wins.
